Kid’s Day

The children at Emmaus School in Langas were excited as we got out of the car to carry the supplies to the place where a 1/2-day VBS would be conducted.  I had recruited my neighbour and former student, Faith to assist to work with my visitor, a college student from Kansas.  Jamie Stephens arrived in Kenya on June 30 and accompanied the IMPACT team to Mombasa where they helped in building construction and VBS at our Mombasa Primary School.  Pastor Jared, the church planter in Langas (a “suburb” of Eldoret) had arranged for us to go to the school which is also where the Free Methodist Church meets to worship on Sunday.

After a lively soccer game, Jamie and Faith led some songs which the children enjoyed singing.  Pray for the Langas school, including the teachers and children alike.  Pray the we will be able to visit again and that Pastor Jared and the Free Methodist Church will have a positive witness at the school, to parents and community.
